Very sturdy. Was a windy day the first time we used it and had no issues. We bought a beach tarp to use as a floor. We bury the straps that run from corner to corner in about a 6" trench in the sand to keep people from tripping on them plus to help hold it down in the wind. We also buried the stakes to the support strings about a foot in the sand. If it is really windy find some sticks or rocks and loop the strings over those and bury them in the sand for extra support. The walls are easy to install and we moved them from one side to the other as the sun traveled across the sky. Was very pleased with this tent, made our beach day so much more enjoyable since the kids could nap in the shade when they were tired.
